The Lost City Movie Review : A rigidly operational adventure action comedy with a lot of super power

A novelist passing through the author's block has been kidnapped by a whimsical young businessman to decode and search for hidden treasures in his books. But his quest for treasure ends in a lifelong adventure.

Loretta Sage (Sandra Bulk), a popular author of fictional adventure novels, is going through a crisis of middle life on a personal and professional front. She is lonely, depressed and unable to write another book until her publicity Beth (Da'Vine Joy Randolph) is lowering her neck to do more.Loretta reluctantly goes on a book tour with her cute and beautiful cover model Allen (Channing Tatum), but is soon kidnapped by a wealthy businessman Abigail Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe) to decode a hidden treasure. Has taken what he thinks is the real and only person. Help her find out that this is Loretta. Determined to save the woman he secretly seeks, Alan sets out on a journey to save her, despite his lack of survival skills.

It's a story as old as (Treasure Hunt) and there's something new about the way director Aaron and Adam Ni have done it. As the environment shifts to the jungle, we as an audience are taken on an adventure that is reckless, sometimes dangerous, and often funny and childish. And this is the highest point of this bizarre escape that benefits a bunch of star actors, who perform well despite being overly qualified and very mature for such roles.

It is clear that they all enjoy playing their on-screen avatars, but they have little faith in what is created. Thankfully, there are more real places than special effects, which are always welcome in these days of computer graphics. The first half has some hilarious loud moments and an impressive cameo of Brad Pitt, like Jack Trainer, a former Navy SEAL turned CIA agent. There are some shocks here, but as the second act rolls by, the mediocre writing begins to sell out. The silly romance between Bell and Tatum is absolutely captivating but entertaining and the charming cinematography is pleasing to the eye.

Sandra Bulk is convincing and powerful in her role as a middle-aged novelist, and Tatum looks like a wanted hunk in every way, just longing to go as a cover model. The two actors work together as a unit. Da'Vine Joy Randolph's Purshi Publicist Act becomes a bit disturbing after a while and like the rest of the cast actors get entangled in clichés.It's hard to imagine Daniel Radcliffe as an obsessive businessman who could go to any lengths to find lost treasure. But still she looks cute and beautiful.

Overall, 'The Lost City' is a very serviceable action adventure comedy with lots of star power and some breathtaking visuals. That should be sufficient enough to make him a one-time watch.
